Everything on this site, including recall pages, brand and category pages, lookup tools and guides, is provided for general informational purposes. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, safety or financial advice, and nothing should be relied on as such.

Not an alert service; confirm with the agency

Label Ledger is a reference, not a notification or alert service, and it does not track the lifecycle of a recall. Agencies expand, update, correct and close recalls, and some agency datasets are not updated after a recall is classified. Each page states when its data was last pulled and links to the official agency record. Always confirm the current status of a recall, and whether your product is affected, with the issuing agency or the company named in the recall.

Health information

Health effects and information about who is most at risk are quoted from the issuing agency or the CDC and are not added to. If you think you or someone in your care has been exposed to a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. For a suspected poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

Identifiers and lookups

Identifier tables and lookup tools are built from the identifiers that appear in agency records. Agency records can be incomplete, and extraction of identifiers from agency text can miss or misread a value despite automatic checks and human review. A product that does not appear in a table or a lookup result may still be affected. Absence from this site is not evidence that a product is safe or has not been recalled.

Label Ledger is independent. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or any other government agency, or by any company named on the site. Brand and product names are used nominatively to identify recalled products; trademarks belong to their owners. Statements on this site describe what agency records say a company did (for example, that it initiated a recall) and are not statements about the company's conduct.

Errors and limits

Government records contain errors and are revised over time. Every page states when its data was pulled; themethodology states the limits of each step; thecorrections channel acts on reports within 48 hours.
