Privacy policy

This policy describes what information is and is not collected when you use labelledger.org (the "Site"), operated by InfoHub Digital LLC.

1. No accounts or forms

The Site is static and read-only. It has no user accounts, no sign-ups, no alerts or mailing lists, and no forms, and it does not ask for or store information about you.

2. Lookup tools run in your browser

Lookup tools on the Site (for example, searching by UPC or establishment number) run entirely in your browser against data files downloaded from the Site. What you type is not sent to the Site, logged or stored. Where a tool needs a government service to answer (for example, decoding a vehicle identification number with NHTSA's public decoder), the tool's page says so, and what you type is sent only to that government service, never to the Site.

3. Information collected automatically

Hosting. The Site is served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives technical information with each request, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and referring page, and uses it to deliver the Site, prevent abuse, and provide aggregate traffic statistics. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in its privacy policy athttps://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Third parties. Apart from advertising (section 4), pages load no third-party scripts, fonts or libraries; styling and scripts are served from the Site itself. Product images and label files are copies of agency material served from the Site, not loaded from the agencies.

Analytics. The Site does not use a separate analytics service beyond Cloudflare's aggregate statistics.

4. Advertising, affiliate links and cookies

Pages that display advertising use Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites, to measure ad performance, and to limit how often you see an ad.

Some pages contain affiliate links to Amazon. If you follow one, Amazon may set cookies to attribute a purchase to this Site, under Amazon's own privacy notice. See the affiliate disclosure.

Third-party vendors may use cookies that this Site does not control. The Site does not itself set cookies for tracking. If you dismiss the consent notice, a single first-party preference ("consent acknowledged") is stored in your browser's local storage; it identifies nothing about you.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising cookies are set only after consent is given through a Google-certified consent management platform.

5. Email

If you email corrections@labelledger.org, the Site receives whatever you choose to send and uses it only to respond and to keep a log of corrections and removal requests. Messages are not sold, shared, or added to any mailing list.

6. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. The Site does not sell personal information and stores essentially none. To exercise any right, or to ask what information (if any) is held about you, emailcorrections@labelledger.org.

8. Security

Pages are served over HTTPS. Because the Site has no accounts, forms or server-side lookups, there is no server-side store of visitor data to secure.

9. Changes

Updates to this policy are posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes are noted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
